Hi Donna, Thanks for your great post.Decided I should reply to yours directly, as I am making a post on the Vaneman list today, that describes Garret and William Vanneman as adjoining landowners in 1771 in Salem County, and you may find it of general interest. They are not my guys, (that I know of yet) but I've been searching for boards to post the Mtg. Deeds I have, as I transcribe them, in hopes of helping others as well as my own research when I find some links between the names in these. In this specific case I am generally trying to weave together a general neighborhood or area, trying to piece together many land records from various sources.
I was having trouble finding a board with the spelling as I have in the deed, but using a search engine, this post of yours reeled me in to the right place.Seems this board is inactive right now, but I still like to place these where I hope they will do the most good.
In addition, I noticed theMagdalena Vandever you list as of Gloucster county, very early, and that is an incredibly good bit of information for me as I am trying to prove my early generations of that name together in Salem county, eventually tying back to the Delaware lines.I had not seen any where you place them until your post. And all the interelationships I see in your lines, help me understand a bit more of the connections between the people and places later on.There is so much interconnection between these names and the various counties of southern NJ, and back across the river to Philly or Delaware, it sometimes boggles the mind. You've reminded me again to quit thinking "in the box" and make sure I expand the scope of my searches.
