I have extensive info on the Skyhawks of southern Minnesota from the mid-1800's on, beginning with Louis Skyhawk and his wife, Martha Scholtz. I understand they came to Minnesota from Pennsylvania. He was originally from a Dutch family, but I don't know how far back the family emigrated to America. The family name was originally Van Skoyk (or similar spelling), but was "Americanized" to Skyhawk (in Minnesota??). Louis and Martha's daughter, Ella, was my great-grandmother. Any info going further back would be nice.
