I have the complete Ancaster family back to Abraham who is buried in Stone cemetary near Niagra Falls.Abraham was born in 1777 in New Jersey and married Sarah.... also born in 1777.They had seven children Peter (1798 NJ), Delilah (1803 CN), Jacob (CN), Deborah (CN), Priscilla (CN), John David (1812 CN), and Adam(1814 CN). Abraham came from NJ to Ont. in 1798/1799 and founded the area just west of Niagra and East of St. Catherines that was called the Short Hills in Welland Co. Ont. He then went on to Ancaster and settled on the Indian Trail in the Jersey Settlement.(This is in Ancaster County). Most of them are buried at the Van Sickle Cemetary in Lindon and in the Stenabaugh Cemetary on the Lindon Road between Ancaster and Brantford. I am decended from Amanda B. Van Sickle the daughter of Adam.I have all of the cemetary records for Ancaster Twp, Jerseyville and much of the North East Part of Brant Co and I have not come across any records that Abraham may have had any brothers or sisters that came with him from NJ.However, it makes sense that might.I have not connected Abraham into the NJ family because I only have Sarah and there are no matching marriages.I know they were married there in the Baptist Church because I found that referrence in the Diary of Adam Van Sickle when I did some conservation on it a couple of years ago when it was caught in a trunk when the basement at my uncle's flooded. From Abraham on I have very complete.I wish I had that one more bit of info for you.If you find it let me know.In the mean time when my father gets home from visiting that area for Christmas with his Brothers and Sister I will ask him to please go through the VS diary and see if I missed noting it.
