I am just beginning to read through you latest screed, but did not get far before I found this:
"This is not nit picking - it is precision accuracy in professional genealogy research - something seldom practiced by researchers and probably never before encountered by yourself."
Ed, I have been, and Doug has been--for long before I happened upon your argument here--trying to get you to "do" some actual genealogic studies on your own. You have steadfastly refused to do so. It suits you to remain deliberately ignorant of the entire subject. Innumerable meandering and nonproductive posts on this Forum demonstrate that sad fact. In a very recent post, you actually boasted about it.
Now you would define what genealogy is and how to accomplish a genealogic study?
Maybe this is a positive developement, as Doug has apparently taken your previous post, but at this point you are still stepping all over your own feet.
In the end, what matters to me is that you and other Eastling-Van Siclen descendants do not go to your graves not knowing your true ancestry. This is what I want for you, Ed.
For your kin, what I want is for them to not be misled by your errant proclamations. In this regard, and in this regard only, can you designate any conspiracy between Mr. Van Curen and me. We both want the record to be straight and documented.
