I think I've found my source for the "James" first name.... it appears in Rory Van Tuyl's book, and he attributes it to the M. Atherton Leach studies.I'd sort of forgotten about those... I have never seen a copy and don't think I have access to one.I'll poke around a bit, but I may have to ask Rory.My vague recollection is that this is the genealogy commissioned by Stella McIntire Elkins... Her Van Tuyl descendants were here in Dayton, Ohio in the mid 1850's.(Evaline Van Tuyl who married J.W. McIntire). Evaline was from Romulus, NY.
There's a very slight possibility the Leach info could be on Heritage Quest, but I sorta doubt it.They do have both the Van Tuyl genealogies written by Alma Cramer....although I ran into some one recently who has one that's about 30 pages longer than the one I have.I haven't checked either of those for Rightmire yet.... suspect if there was anything more it would already be in my database.
