I'm quite interested in finding my links to the Vard(a,e,i)man family. My link is John Vardiman Ramsey (JVR)born 1812 in TN. Most likle Cocke Co. TN. He spent time in MO and returned to Jefferson / Cocke Co. TN and apeard in the 1850 census of Jefferson Co. Aperarently the Inman, Clevenger, Ramsey, Sprouse, and Calfee families of Cocke Co moved to MO and JVR married Frances Inman and returned prior to 1850. I'm aware of Latitia Vardeman wife of John Calfee and her divorce in 1805. I'm working on a Ramsey lead that brought three Ramsey down the Clinch River and setteled in East Tennessee. I'm aware that this Vardeman Family resided on the Clinch after 1769 and Latitia married prior to 1769 she did resided in Cocke Co. TN and is the only link to Vardiman that I can find in Cocke Co. There is the posability that a Vardiman and Ramsey met in MO and married priot to 1812 and conceived JVR.
My best guesses: 1) is that the eldest of Latitia children Bengamin, Henry or William Calfee fathered a daughter around 1877 and that daughter married a Ramsey leading to JVR. 2) Vardaman and Ramsey meet in MO 3) Latitia married/not married a Ramsey after the divorce and conceive JVR at age 66, however not very likely.
Any help in unraveling this would be of great interest.
