What referenceses do you have that proves that Valentine Varnes s/o George Varnes and born in America about 1760, is the same person as the Valentine Varnes who arrived in America from France after the American Revolutionary War had begun.
My great uncle Isaac Varnes(1879-1972) and myself do not descend from that Valentine Varnes born in Pa., who was the son of George Varnes. Isaac Varnes, brother of Valentine was born in 1801. That is much to late for my Isaac, born in 1776.
From the earliest connection that I can prove, my line is Isaac Varn(1776-1857), George Varn(1807-1873) s/o Isaac,William Varn(1841-1917) s/o George, Alfred Varnes(1877-1964) s/o William, Nelson Smith Varnes(1902-1992) s/o Alfred and Earl L. Varnes(1926-) s/o Nelson.
I am in need of a set of parents for Isaac Varn(1776-1857)I know Isaac was in SC in 1801. His oldest known child, Isaac, Jr. was born in SC in 1801. Asa(1804)another son and George were also born in SC.
The rests of the ten children of Isaac were born in Camden County, Georgia and present day Clay County, Florida.
