Thanks for the imput...however, the Elijah Phelps that you list first...was his sur name Van Velsor, or was Aseneth a Van Velsor? If Elijah Phelps Van Velsor was born in 1804...then he is most likely not the Elijah Phelps Van Velsor that fits into my tree. However, your list below this couple indicates that there are a couple more Elijah's...do you have anything at all on them. The Elijah Phelps Van Velsor that fits into my line was married...lived in Humboldt, Humboldt, Iowa in the 1860's...was a Physician who graduated from Ann Arbor School of Medicine...had a brother named William McDermond Van Velsor also a physician in the same city and time frame above..My Wm. McDermond Van Velsor was born 1843/1844 in Canada...I don't know if his brother was older or younger than he, but he certainly would not have been born in 1804.Where all did your Elijah Phelps Van Velsor live and was he also a physician?
I know intuitively that these two lines have to connect...but how...do you have other connecting links to the McDermond family?
Thanks...Mary(Stillwell)Brown
PS the Elijah Phelps Van Velsor that I am looking for..had a wife on a land record in Humboldt, Iowa, and his wife sold their town lot to my Dr. Wm. McDermond Van Velsor..that is the only proof that I came across for knowing that he was married...Elijah Phelps Van Velsor must have left the Humboldt area soon after this transaction, or atleast I have no further trace of him.
