It is nice to hear from a fellow researcher.I don't have any information on your line of Verba's at this time. When I double checked the 1910 census, it showed 4 boarders with John & Mary Verba in Trimble Twp., Athens Co., OH.Two of the boarders were John Verba, age 43 - married for 20yrs and immigrated to the US in 1901, was a coal miner and had filed his 1st set of naturalization papers. The other boarder of interest was Pete Verba, age 37 - married and immigrated to the US in 1901, was a coal miner and had yet to start the naturalized process. Both these boarders were of Slovak descent. They could of been relatives to John.
Mary Verba, John's sister married Anton Papcun in Taylor, PA in March 1908.They moved to Athens Co., OH shortly afterwards. I am not sure how long they lived in Athens Co., but they eventually moved to the Cambridge, OH area sometime before 1914.The lived in this area until 1935 when they moved to Medina, OH and later moved again.
I will let you know more as I progress in my reseach... Deb
