Hi Susan.......It always surprises me to find anyone with Vermille as a surname. My Vermille familly arrived ca1850.Wm.Frederick Vermille arrived from Holland with his sister
Maria and her husband George Gerritson. They lived in Reading,MA.Both he and Geo. were cabinet makers and worked for the Wakefield Piano Co. (My)"Vermille" was originally Vermuelyn, b. 30 May 1830, Wadenoijen, Holland. their parents were Dirk (Dork)and Greitzie(or Margaret){Frederick) Vermeulyn. She was the dau. of Simon Frederick.
Wm. married 15 July 1858, New Foundland,Canada, Karen Follet b. 22 Mar 1834. He d. 25 Dec 1907. She d. 20 Jul 1910, both in Reading, MA.

Their child, Shirley Eloise Vermille, b.

This probably doesn't help much, but I know how long it took me to find any information so I just wanted to let you know that there are others with the same problem. I know my parents were the only Vermille's ever listed in the Los Angeles Phone directories with that surname.I did find one or two listed on the Social Security list, and that surprised me........Anyway, good luck.
Shirley Burton.
