I will investigate that.I have much of Ira's work and while he did a great service to us with his efforts, he was unable to find definitive evidence of the French Huguenot connection. Recent genealogical work in the U.K. has yielded a belief that Vermillions originated as Belgian or Dutch before entering the Isles.While I strongly believe in the French Huguenot theories of origin, I still seek to find evidence of any kind about our family origin and about the port from which Giles Sr. truly came in 1699. I have a great deal of speculative information gathered from a number of diverse genealogical researchers and would gladly share it -- but none of it can be referenced to a primary source.
