Otto Albert Koetitz (also: Kötitz; born on 12 January 1873 in Kranichfeld, Saxonia Weimar) emigrated with his parents 1881 into the United States of America. Before he had finished his training as a Lutheran preacher, he came into contact with the Biblical teachings of C.T. Russell and connected himself with the first German Bible researchers in Pennsylvania.
In Berlin he suffered 1913 while translating for Joseph F. Rutherford, the deputy of the president of the Watch Tower Society, a lung tear. [92]
His wife Jennie returned with the children in October 1916 to the United States. [96]
The three children were Elfreda E. Koetitz b. 26 July 1902, Phoebe C. Koetitz b. 14 Aug 1904 and Offeben Koetitz b.1911.
