Sgt.Rayford R. Verzyl
I am looking for someone who can identify Sgt. Rayford R. Verzyl in an aircrew photograph from WW II.Sgt. Verzyl, along with everyone else on the crew, was killed on May 19, 1944, when his airplane was shot down on a raid to Brunswick, Germany.The plane, #42-95060, was a B-24 of the 578th Bomber Squadron, 392nd Bomb Group.Sgt. Verzyl was a gunner.The pilot was Robert J. Lang.Verzyl's next of kin in 1944 was listed as (mother)Florence M. Verzyl, 4120 34th St. Long Island City, NYI would like to post this photo on the 392nd web site and I want to identify as many of the crew as I can.
