I'm trying to find the connection between myself and the rest of the Vinsonhaler family. I am William R. Vinsonhaler born in KS 7/1983. I lived in Smith Center, KS for the first 19 years of my life where I have discovered many Vinsonhalers have live been born and past away.I am son to Carl C. Vinsonhaler born in CO 12/1961 and Stacy R. Swank born in KS 12/1962. My grandfather was Kenneth James Vinsonhaler Sr. born near Lenanon and Bellaire, KS. He was married to Francis Hussenetter from California. They had two sons, Carl Clyde and Kenneth James Jr. (Jim). Ken Sr. was married a second to another woman who I do not know the name. They had a Daughter named Shery. I know my grandfather was born on a tiny farmstead with s small private "Vinsonhaler" family cemetery near the home in rural Smith County near Lebanon as my uncle took me there to show me when I was little, the house still stood 15yrs ago but I believe it to have been demolished or caved in since. Ken Sr had numberous siblings, but I do not know most their names and believe them all to be deceased with exception to one who's true name I do not know. The names I do know are a deceased brother by the name Shirley who lived outside of Downs, KS with his wife and a deceased sister who married a Robinson named Ruth of Smith Center, KS. The living brother I only know as Red and believe he is living somewhere in CO. I believe their father may have been John Vinsonhaler who passed early 1900's or a brother or cousin to John. I know I have elder relatives somewhere in Colorado and California and that my Grandparents, father and uncle all lived in numberous areas in Kansas, Colorado and California. I have been able to track the Vinsonhaler name to all the places my family has lived and have even found names of people I personally know on the list even some who are several times removed from the Vinsonhaler name who I personally know from childhood but no longer have contact with. All this atop of growing up in Smith Center, the seat of Smith County where once this name of ours was so plentiful and common and yet at 26 I have only met 4 Vinsonhalers (Marge Vinsonhaler married to James Park, Tammy Vinsonhaler, Roger Vinsonhaler and Pam Vinsonhaler all of Smith Center). These last names I list are people I personally knew during childhood and always thought to be distant relatives and have recently discovered where all their names connect to the family lineage but am still unable to find where my grandfather fits in... Where I fit into it. If anyone has any answers or knowledge of my grandfather Kenneth James Vinsonhaler Sr. please let me know. Thank you!
