Bettye -
Thanks so much for your prompt reply!
It doesn't seem to be a link, but it does seem somewhat odd that there might be two Lucy Vivions in the same location in approx. the same time period.
There is confusion on our side over whether Matthew Davis's wife was Lucy Vivion, Lucy Baber, or both in sequence.(Or perhaps one Lucy with a surname as a middle name?)
I don't suppose that your Lucy Vivion might have had a niece or cousin with the same name, as far as you know...?
Our Lucy m. Matthew Davis in 1803, had 13 children (Rachel, John, Silas, William, Matthew, Milton, Martin, Mary, Mahala, Lucy, Nancy, Isham, & Joicy), all but the last born in KY.The last was born in Callaway Co., MO --- which is not near Bakersfield.
Well, just thought I'd contact you in case there was a link.Vivion didn't seem to me to be a terribly common name, so I was hoping.....!I'd appreciate it if you would post anything that you might come across in the future. Thanks so much for your time.
Judith
P.S. - Heirloom seeds would be a wonderful family legacy!
