Mrs. Freida Vogelsang Knipp was born at Welcome, Austin County, Texas, January 18, 1877, moving to Milam County in 1883.On December 11, 1900 she was married to Mr. Rufus Christian Knipp.She is survived by her husband, son, August Rufus Knipp, who is a member of the Senior Class of 1920 in Cameron, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fritz Vogelsang of New Braunfels, Texas, Messrs. Ernest and Willis Vogelsang of Cameron, Mr. Moody Vogelsang of San Antonio, Miss Ida Vogelsang and Mrs. Pete Gergum of Cameron.She was reared by a careful mother, and educated by a tutor in her home, thus bringing out and developing the lovely traits of her womanhood.
Mrs. Knipp had lived in Cameron for eight years.Her friends were numbered by those who knew her - for to know her was to love her.Her life was like one beautiful flower full blown - a monument to her loved ones and friends.A good woman has been taken from our midst.We should not mourn or grieve, for she now dwells in one of the "many mansions" prepared by a loving Heavenly Father.
Sunday afternoon, February 29, 1920, at one thirty services were conducted by Rev. MacFadyen at the family residence in Cameron.The body was then taken to Augusta Church where she held her membership and a short service was conducted by Rev. Strauss of Waco, who performed her marriage ceremony.The flowers and friends were a tribute to her life.
