Now, about your second question, re Hannah Wadleigh and Joseph Noyes and her sister Mary and a Mr. Leavitt:
All of the above are listed in the “Wadleigh Chronicle” from Heritage Press. The Hannah that you mention is the eldest of the Jonathan and Ann (Wilson) (Hilton) Wadleigh that you asked about.Hannah was born in Exeter and married Joseph Noyes sometime before 1716.He was from Newberry, Mass. They had seven children:Jonathan, Elizabeth, Thomas, Hannah, Parker, Hannah and Mary. The first child named Hannah died in childhood as did Parker. My source for this information is the “Genealogical Dictionary of Maine and New Hampshire” by Sybil Noyes, Thornton Libby, and Walter Goodwin Davis, Genealogical Publishing, Baltimore, 1976.(Originally published in five parts, Portland Me, 1928-1939)
From a researcher in my family, Rosenmae Paige of Sedalia Missouri, I have this about the children:
Jonathan, b. July 23, 1717 in Exeter
Elizabeth, b. March 12, 1719 in Exeter, m. John Hopkins in 1736 and later married Stephen Illsley.
Thomas, b. July 20, 1721 in Exeter, m. Ann Follansbee.
Hannah, b. March 23, 1723, and died.
Parker, b. September 15, 1724 and died.
Hannah, b. September 25, 1726 in Exeter, m. Nicholas Short.
Mary, b. October 22, 1730 in Exeter, m. Samuel Jacques
Rosenmae also recorded that Joseph and Mary (Wadleigh) Leavitt had a child, Mary.
Hope this helps.
