Hi My daughter's great grandfather was Morgan WAGON born in Maidstone. I have yet to confirm it but I found possible parents for him, a Charles and Jane WAGGON, in the 1881 maidstone census, although Morgan wasn't present.
Charles WAGON was born in East Malling in about 1832. Through the Kent Look Up exchange, I found out that there were WAGGONs in East Malling in the 1800s (notably the Robert and Margaret family. I wondering how to make the connections fit. I also wonder about the surname, which some say is a variant of WAGHORN.
Have you found anything more? A.
