German Migrant into the American Colonies. Volentine Nichaels and Hester Morcrarft, German born and soon after marriage, being Lutherans and were persecuted by the ins - in political power, they migrated to the American Colonies about 1785 - perhaps settled in Virginia - perhaps near the Lee Families. It is probable that the family moved to near Frankfort, KY. Only one son is of record.
It is evident that there were other children as the traditional report is that when George Washington Nichaels migrated to Illinois in 1821 that he left many families bearing the name as living near Frankfort, KY
