Clifton D. Wallen, 61, of Mount Carmel, Hawkins Co TN, passed away early Saturday morning, February 9, 2008 at Johnson City Medical Center, Johnson City, Washington Co TN, due to a cardiac arrest. He was a lifelong resident of Hawkins County being born into the wonderful family of Harley and Lura Tankersley Wallen. They originally lived in Kyle’s Ford, TN and eventually moved to Mount Carmel. Clifton served his country in the United States Army with a tour in the Philippine Islands during the Vietnam War.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters and brothers-in-law, Paulene and Earl Mowell, Edith and Hobert Price, all of Kingsport, TN, Ruth and Hancel Winegar, Mount Carmel, TN, Elsie Davis, Partlow, VA; a brother, Omer Wallen, Rogersville, TN.
Clifton is survived by his sister, Valorie Shelton of Columbus, GA, his brothers and their wives, Harold and Elizabeth Wallen, Carl and Stella Wallen, Joe and Nancy Wallen, all of Rogersville, TN; a sister-in-law, Janie Alice Wallen, Rogersville, TN; brother-in-law, Earl Davis of Partlow, VA; along with several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Funeral service to be conducted on Monday, February 11, 2008 at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Andy Sensabaugh officiating.
The Hawkins County Color Guard and the TN Army National Guard will conduct a military graveside service on Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Church Hill Memory Gardens. Family and friends attending the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:50 a.m.
