Following my last post earlier today I began to look back through past contacts and found some more information. This is not my own research, but I'm told that, according to IGI, Eleanor Walls born c1801, had an older brother William born c 1799. He moved to Liverpool.Eleanor seems to have married Henry Jackson after Ann was born, and they had a daughter Hannah. In 1861 Eleanor (widowed) was living in Love Lane, Liverpool with her daughter Hannah. Samuel Walls junior was also living there, described as Eleanor's brother.
There is a puzzle as to why the younger Samuel didn't inherit the farm, but the same thing happened a couple of generations later when the Myers' youngest son took it over. (I know the middle son had very poor eyesight, which eventually caused him to be killed on the level crossing close to Mite House. The eldest became a publican.)Perhaps there was some illness or disability.
I was also sent details from the 1841 census for SamuelWalls' home. Of the 13 people living there, 4 have the surname Walls. My contact suggests that Hannah Walls' maiden name was Jackson, as this was later used as a Christian name in the family.
