I'm jumping in here on a limb hoping for either some confirmation or denial.
I have been looking for a Lydia Parker that was on the 1850 Powder Springs census with her brother Lemuel. She was 18 at the time making her approx year of birth 1832 and also she was born in SC.
In looking through the 1870 Paulding Co., census I found a James M. Walraven married to a Lydia, born approx 1832 and from SC.
I know this is a long shot, but could this be my Lydia Parker?I have not been able to verify any marriage records and previously was looking in Paulding Co., since that's where the rest of the family ended up.However, I have been told recently that a fire destroyed Cobb Co., marriage records prior to 1864.So, that may be the reason I can't locate any marriage record on Lydia at all.
I went back and found James M. in 1850, 1860, 1870, & 1880.1880, he's living with his sister, Malitia and is indicated at widowed. So, sometime between 1870 & 1880 Lydia died.
