What is the mystery about our Jacob B. Warbington before Georgia? He is traced from about 1800 in Jackson Co., Georgia until he dies in 1846 in Lauderdale Co, MS.... In a lot of records the name is clearly Jacob WARBINGTON. We have found the ones in North Carolina & Indiana but no where do we find a Jacob?
There is even mention of the name WARBINGTON in the Doomday book & even today the ruins of WARBINGTON Manor keeps that name in England.
I use to think a clue would lie in my Ellemander's given name, but according to what I learn is is a form of the female name Ellender.
I do think the WAITS & WARBINGTON families knew each other before GA.
What are your thoughts on the family??
I have search any possible spellings of the name since about 1984, as have many of you. Jacob didn't just magically appear in Jackson County?where did they come from?
