James Lee 'Bud' Ward, 71, Church Hill, Hawkins Co TN,
passed away on Thursday, March 25, 2010 at his residence.
He was a lifelong resident of Hawkins County and was of
the Baptist faith. He worked at Holliston Mills for 32 years
and loved farming. He especially loved his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James C. and Mary
Kate Ward; brother, Davis Ward; and sister, Helen Ouellette.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Ruth Mauk Ward;
five daughters, Teresa Lane and her husband Sherman, Lisa
Dishner and her husband Tim, Tracy 'Karen' Ward, Amy
Dishner and her husband Jerry, and Mitzi Fortner and her
husband Micheal; brother, Douglas Ward; sisters, Dorothy
Norrod and her husband David, and Eura Kate Lane and her
husband Jimmy; grandchildren, Will Jerry Dishner and his
wife Amanda, Austin Fortner, Ashley Presley and her
husband Troy, and Keshia Dishner; great grandchildren,
Kira and Keatan Dishner, and Caden Presley; special
nephews, Micheal and Scottie Ward; several nieces and
nephews; and special friends, Vince Hill, Robert Brooks,
and Bert Christian.
Calling hours are from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday, at
Johnson Funeral Home of Church Hill, and anytime at the
Funeral services will be conducted at 8 p.m., Saturday,
March 27, 2010, in the funeral home chapel with Bro.
Nathan Taylor and Preacher Greg Fletcher officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted 1 p.m., Sunday, March
28, 2010, at Armstrong Cemetery. Pallbearers will be
Daniel Ward, Jefferey Dickerson, James Ward Ison, David
Norrod, Thomas Looney, and Jimmy Lane. Honorary bearers
will be Micheal Ward, Scottie Ward, Robert Brooks, Bert
Christian, and Vince Hill.
