Francis Elizabeth Wardlow of Mississippi
My name is Anita Holliday Bienvenu. Francis (Fannie) E. Wardlow is my gr gr grandmother. She was married to Jacob Parker Holliday. She was said in the census records to have been born in Mississippi in 1855. I have been researching her for almost 3 years now and still am no closer than when I started. This is what I know and how I think she got to Arkansas:
Fannies' mother is supposed to be Elizabeth.
She is said to have a sister in a letter to a long ago relative by the name of Jane. This Jane married a Mcright Gardner in Alcorn County, Mississippi. Fannie was to have came to Arkansas with a Gardner family. She was also pregnant when she married Jacob and already had one son named James Osker. She was to have been pregnant by a Sam Gardner. Both her sons were reaised as Hollidays, the one she was pregnant with was named William Holliday. He was said to have looked more like a Gardner than a Holliday every day. William grew up, got married and had his own family, naming his own children Sammy, William and Charley.
Mcright Gardner had a brother named Sam and one named Charley.
Now this is what I think:
Fannie's sisterJane married Mcright Gardner. Fannie had a child James at one point. Then she got pregnant by Sam Gardner, Mcright's brother. She must have came to Arkansas with Jane and Mcright Gardner where she married Jake. William named his sons after himself and his two brothers.
Does ANYONE know anything about any of these poeple? What may seem like nothing to you could be just the clue we need to unlock this mystery! Please, if you know anything contact me.
I do have a lot of Holliday history if you are looking.
