It has come to my attention that there is a bad mistake in "Wathen Anthology", p. 34.
Clotilda Wathen, b. 3 Nov. 1795 in Randolph Co., Va., to Raphael and Margaret Modesta (Coomes) Wathen, married Thomas Francis Montgomery 16 Jan. 1815 in Nelson co., Ky. (Nelson Co. Marriage Bonds), d. 12 May 1860 in Knottsville, Daviess Co. (birth and death dates from tombstone reading), buried at St. Lawrence Cemetery.
The children given on p. 34 as children of Clotilda and Thomas are in reality Clotilda's half siblings, children of Margaret Modestes and her second husband, Zachariah Aud.
Clotilda and Thomas were the parents of: Pius M. Montgomery, b. 1816, d. San Jose, Santa Clara Co.,Calif unknown date, m. Harriett E. Warren Ausin Montgomery, m. 1847 Sarah Rager, then m.
