Hi Mary,
I'm Roger Grimshaw, originally from upstate New York.My great grandfather was John H Wax originally from Pennsylvania but lived most of his adult life in Fulton County, New York State.I know that his father was William Wax and mother was Jane Elizabeth Hutchingson (married in Sep 1848 in Millerstown, Perry County, Pa).John H. was residing with his parents in both the 1850 and 1860 census but was living with the Henry Wax family (wife Rebecca and several children) in the 1870 Centre Township, Perry County census.Henry could have been a brother of William's.I'm trying to find out if Henry Wax may have been William's father. Based on census records, William was born between 1821-1825.As you probably know, ages on each census vary a great deal.I'm leaning more towards Henry Wax rather the my other possibilities or a Peter Wax or Phillip Wax.It seems logical that these Wax familys all lived in the Perry County, Juniatia and Cumberland areas of Pennsylvanis. If you have any info on a William Wax's father and mother, I would certainly appreciate the assistance.
Sincerly,
Roger Grimshaw, Englewood, Florida
