My wife is related to the Weakland family of Cambria County
They seem to have settled in the northern end of the county around Loretto in the early 19th century. This is the branch headed by John Wealand who is associated with Prince Gallitzin and the Roman Catholic church in Loretto. Prior to 1800, they appear to have been in Hagerstown, Pa. and earlier, MAryland.
The fact that your guy is born in Ohio may indicate that his group left Pa. before his birth, but hten came back to Cambria Co.
I do not have any specific links to your guys
