Virginia W. AlbusBOILING SPRINGS, SC--Mrs. Virginia Myrtle Weathers Albus, age 80, of 213 Fain Drive, Boiling Springs, passed away on Tuesday, August 24, 2010, at the Regional Hospice Home. She was the daughter of the late Dean Cudd and Sarah Annie Moore Weathers, and the widow of the late Robert Emerson Albus. She was a retired secretary with B V I & Champion Investments. She was a Member of the Boiling Springs First Baptist Church, and a Charter Member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Boiling Springs.
She is survived by three daughters, Rachel Mahaffey and her husband Roger of Summerville, SC, Kay Glover and her husband Eugene of Sunset Beach, NC, and Roberta Albus and her fiancé Greg Moore of Spartanburg; four sisters, Betty Brooks, Corrie Hall, Perrin Gilbert, all of Boiling Springs, and Joyce Brice of Moore; one brother, James Weathers of Boiling Springs; four grandchildren, Jason Albus, Chasity Mahaffey Gonzalez, Ginna Turner, and Drew Mahaffey; and two great-grandchildren, Faith Brewer, and Kaelyn Rose Gonzalez.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by three sisters, Margaret Chapman, Catherine McCullough, and Annie Laura Brannon; and one brother, John Weathers.
Memorial Service by the Boiling Springs Order of the Eastern Star will be conducted 10:30 AM Thursday, August 26, 2010, in the Eggers Funeral Home Chapel prior to the funeral service.
Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, August 26, 2010, in the Eggers Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. James Crocker and Rev. Bobby Lindsey officiating with burial following the service at Good Shepherd Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
