BETHANY, LA - Tommy Lynn Weathersby accepted God's invitation "Come unto me all you who are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest" on September 24, 2009. Tommy was the youngest child of Charles and Janice Beevers Weathersby. He was born in El Dorado, AR. on April 14, 1955.
He served his country honorably in the U.S. Air Force. He was totally disabled in an offshore accident in Morgan City while working for National Wellhead Company in November 1980.
His father preceded him in death in July 2008. He is survived by his mother; brother Eddie Charles Weathersby; sister Sherrie Janice Bonner; daughter Courtney Hammer; grandchildren Morgan Carter, Skylar Carter, and Wyatt Hammer; nieces; nephews; special friends Ethel and Gene; and his companions Dawn and Nikita, who were like his children.
Services will be held at Hill Crest Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, September 26, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. with interment to follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park with Reverend Duane Moore officiating. Visitation will be at Hill Crest Funeral Home from 5:00 until 7:30 P.M. Friday, September 25, 2009.
Memorial may be made to the American Cancer Society , Disabled Veterans Association, the VA Hospital, or the charily of the donor's choice.
