The fact that (1.) both Rebecca Webster and William Millsaps were to have been born in North Carolina, (2.) both of William Millsaps' parents were to have died in Randolph County, NC, (3.) William and Rebecca Millaps show up in the 1790 census in Randolph County, NC and then the 1800 and 1810 census in Iredall County, NC, I am somewhat inclined to believe that Rebecca Webster's family is from my Webster line, but the dates are not connecting.
My direct Webster line came to Stokes County, North Carolina via John Richard Webster from Amherst County, Virginia sometime after 1779, eventually settling in Rockingham County, North Carolina in 1794. I have Webster descendants in both Stokes and Rockingham County. John Richard Webster's mother (Rebecca Robertson) was from Albemarle, Virginia, but his father (Richard Webster) was from Dorchester County, Maryland. The normal tide of migration in the late 1700's seems to be south through Virginia and North Carolina. Siblings of John Richard Webster also migrated into Stokes County, but I have yet to find a connection there.
