Sorry to be so tardy in entering the conversation.
In my Dad's records, there is no documentation for the orgins of the first John Wedding (John, Sr.). There is one obituary for a descendant in Kentucky which asserts that John, Sr. came from England. It gave his birth year as 1709.
I have a birth year for son Thomas Wedding as 1729, not 1738.
I have no record of a daughter named Sarah.
John Wedding, Sr.'s will lists these children in this order: Thomas, William, John, Philip, Ann Pickerill, Emma Roby, and Violetta Wedding. John, Philip, and Violetta are identified as the three youngest.
Since the will was drawn up in 1770, two years before he died (age 64), it's possible he had another child, but unlikely that his wife Elizabeth Clubb, who survived him (age 62 at his death) was the mother.
Do you have records of Sarah Wedding as the child of John Wedding, Sr. and Elizabeth Clubb?Thomas Wedding had a daughter named Sarah. John Wedding had 7 daughters according to a census record, but I have no names for them. If this Sarah got married in 1781, she could easily have been a granddaughter of John Wedding, Sr. and Elizabeth Clubb. In fact, she could have been a great granddaughter if Ann Wedding Pickerill (Pickerell?) married in the middle 1740s her daughter could have been 35 years old in 1781.
