I'm sure you would like to have someone tell you that these three Wedgeworth facts, which have been in the LDS files for many, many years (at least 60), are documentation that relates to our first known Wedgeworth in the USA, William Wedgeworth. However, that can not be done. There is nothing to connect these Wedgeworths with our William. Nor is there anything which connects these three people with each other! Many people for the past 50 years or so have tried valiantly to find some connection, but to no avail. I personally know of people who have actaully gone to Ireland to do research there, but who came back empty handed.
To further complicate matters, there is some research which points to Thomas Wadsworth (not Wedgeworth) as the father of William. Thomas Wadsworth was born in England, committed a crime in London, and was sent to Maryland as an indentured servant. His future wife, Rebecca Passmore, was on the same ship to America with Thomas. They married later, after their seven years indenture was completed. We are working on this theory now.
The problem with some of these entries on the LDS files is that they are so random. If there was a real connection there, someone would have found it out way before now!
