I am looking a generation back from Peter Weeter (1760-1843) in Cocalico Township, Lancaster County, PA. A big possibility for being Peter's parents, of course, are Christopher Weeter and Christina Roeser, married in Cocalico in 1742. But Christopher Sr. may have also had siblings in the area. A Rosina Weeter was married in Cocalico to John Adam Schillich on November 14, 1734. Then there is a George Weeter (1722-1795), who lived in nearby Earl Township. Christopher Jr. was a resident of Earl Township when he left for Lower Path Valley in Franklin County, PA. So did a family come over in the 1730s and then settle in Lancaster County? So many Weeters are turning up; it is very confusing.
