Ship Brittania sailed in 1764?
My gggg gf was John Weible.I understand that he, and brothers Jacob and Steven, sailed to USA from Canton Bern, Switzerland, on board the ship Brittania in 1764.I have not found the ship's record to confirm.I understand that John and his brothers are on the 1799 Gettysburg tax rolls. The 1810 census has John in W. Moreland County, PA.John had a son named John, born 3/1/1813 in Tuscarawas Co., Ohio and he married Jane Townsend 12/26/1933.They had a son, George Baily Weible born 10/5/1834.He became deathly ill during the Civil War and died 6/21/1865.His wife was Martha Philena Carlton Weible, born 8/20/1835.They had a son, James Seigle Weible, born 4/26/1862 in Millstadt, Illinois. He married Sarah Elizabeth Steagall, born 1/18/1869.They lived in Bee Fork, Reynolds Co., Missouri. They had three children: Grace, Clarence, and my maternal gmo Alice K. Weible Lay, born 10/21/1905.I would appreciate any information that you can supply as I don't know any of the other siblings in earlier generations, nor dob of my earliest ancester.Thank you for any help.
