I have fairly specific information on my family lines especially in the Weidler's and Shearer's.I've seen other listings where these have dealt with significant variations, but my lines haven't appeared to deal with this.My great grandmother was quite familiar with her family and I got to know some rather distant cousins most of whom had been staying in the Illinois (near St Louis, MO) area. Some of the cousins married into Schwandner and Warner families. However, I don't know much after the level about her nieces and nephews where the rest of the family could be.But since that is only in the last few decades, family name variations don't occur much anymore.
Most variations that I've seen occurred before about 1800 to 1830.Due to Noah Webster and his standardization of American English, our nation got a hold of keeping variations to a minimum rather quickly. So, I would ask that if you can send something a little more specific. Then I can verify whether your information has ties to mine.

I wish you the best in your search.
