I actually just got back from Germany,my daughter who is fluent is living there right now,not in the Heilbronn area though.I think I mentioned that a person is there now in Bonfeld actively researching our tree,so some of this might change in time.I was able to get a copy of Emil Christian's parents 'family papers' his sibs that I know of are Thekla 1846-?,Emma 1848-?,Bertha 1850-52,Lena Henrietta 1852-?,Gustav Adolph 1854-1854,Emil Christian 1856-?,Eduard Oskar1857-?.According to the Wuerttemberg Emigration Index Eduard emigrated to north america, but I don't know where. Emil emigrated to NYC and married a Nanette Bandel, they had Oscar Philip 1886-1957,Elsie 1894-1984,and I think Walter 1888-1918. His father was Georg Philipp 1813-? and mother Wilhemina Magdelena Gerst 1823-?.It's possible that Georg may have remarried.Georg's sibs were(Ithink)Johan Bernhard 1797-?,Johan Bernhard 1799-?,Christian 1803-?,Gottlieb 1805-?,Friedrich Jacob 1808-?,Johana 1811-?,Sophia 1816-?,Christiana Catherina 1819-?. I know that Georg's parents were Johan Gottlieb 1769-? and Johana Schuessler 1777-? and that Joahn Gottlieb's brother was Freiderich Jacob 1773-? and their parents were Johan Melchior and Sofie Ritter. Georg's brother Gottlieb had Jacob(we call him Jacob the fertile)b 1835(I think) who had 2 wives and about 11 kids:Elisabeth,Philip,Elisabeth Johana,Heinrich,Karl,Ludwig,Julie,Martin Gottlieb,Thekla Marie,Thekla Elisabeth and Gottlieb.Gottlieb the 1st also had a Gottlieb, martin & 2 Phillips. Right now that's all I know,I'm also eagerly awaiting records from Germany-pls keep in touch.how are you related to the family? are we related?I grew up in NJ,but live in CT. the sad thing is, I don't know where or when my greatgrandparents died or even where they are buried, but I'm working on it.
