Here is my information that was given to me by my cousinwhen he traveled to Germany a few years ago.He found this in the Catholic church records there in Ruwer, Germany. He did not list the siblings, and didonly the direct ancestry.I may be able to get more information from him as needed (if he has more). Here is what I have:
Adam Weinand was from Katzenbach, near Trier. He died in 1833.He married Susanne Scheidel. She also died in 1833, Katzenbach, near Trier.
One son, Peter (circa 1767-1837) was a farm laborer in Katzenbach. He married Margaretha Dengel (? - 1849) from near Wittlich.(She was the daughter of Philipp Dengel, a farm laborer from Kockelsberg/Trier region. He died in 1806.His wife was Susanna Klein from the same region, and she died in 1806 also.)
Peter Weinand and wife Margaretha (Dengel) Weinand had a daughter, Susanne Weinand, born February 2, 1825--? , near Kordel, Germany.
Susanne Wienand married Heinrich Horst (Sept. 22, 1811-Dec. 7, 1891).Born in Ruwer, Occupation of slater or roof worker who used slate stones. They had a daughter, Susanne Horst, who may have been married once in Germany, and then later married my Great Grandfather, Paul Henry Bartz in St. Paul, Minnesota in 1886.They were a successful farming couple with four children who lived in Dunn and St. Croix Counties of western Wisconsin (north central USA, just below Lake Superior).
I have more information on the Horst side, also of that region.
Thank you very kindly for answering my query.I was in southern Germany(Bavaria) a year ago, and you have a lovely country!Bless your day.
