This is an up-date to a previous posting regarding 3 brothers – MORITZ, JOSEPH and JACOB WEINTRAUB from Romania who went to New York in 1900/4/7 and lived in 1st Avenue.
From the 1920 census it appears that JOSEPH was a widower with 2 children
Harry 3 and 11mth Sidney, they were living with Joseph’s father-in-law Abraham Messer and wife 532 Snediker St. Brooklyn.
1930 census reveals:-
JACOB WEINTRAUB and wife SADIE, with 6 children, JOSEPH, SAM, SYLVIA, HARRY, RUTH and LEO, living in South 3rd St? – Kings County, Brooklyn.
MORITZ/MORRIS WEINTRAUB with wife FANNIE and 3 children, HELEN, SOL and MATILDA, living at Bay 34 St., Kings County, Brooklyn.
JACOB was a salesman in knitting goods and MORRIS was an auctioneer in ‘odd lots’ although in the 1920 census it states he owned a Dry Goods store.
