Had not thought about this little tidbit in years, but I do remember as a child growing up in Pasadena, Ca. There was a Klein living next door. There was a man and his mother, who was quite elderly then. The story goes that he was brother to Lawarence Welk.I am wondering if this was true.
The other stranger thing is while my daughter was out a yard sale a few weeks ago, she purchased a 1950's type formica table with chairs. On the bottom it is dated 1973. Evidently the furniture in a house was inventoried for sale back in 1973 when it went for sale, with the belongings, inlcuded. The owner at that time was the bandleader of the Lawarence Welks and he had to leave Bullhead City, Az. as his wife at that time had become quite a gambler and was keeping them in debt. However true this is, the table now sits in my daughters kitchen and it s conversation piece at least. Carole A. Johnson Bullhead City, Az
