Thanks for all the info. I use Heritage Quest through our local library for most of my census research. In the 1900 census the letter which looks like J is really a T for letitia's nickname Tissue. If you look at the 3rd. name up above Adkins C. you will find a Tally J. T. It is hard to figure out what some of the census takers have written. I THINK I have found the death certificate of Letitia Adkins. I usedMO. Digital heritage death records to search for her. Letitia died in the Farmington Mo. State hospital #4 in ST. Frances CO. Mo. in 1914. She is in the records for 1915 because they did not register the info until 1915. She is shown to be married but it looks to me like some one did not want to reveal her true identity. She was in the hospital for 9 years and died in 1914. Looks to me like she was placed in the hospital shortly after Lillie was born and Kirt-Curtice remarried a couple of months after Letitia died.
