Some of our dates work and some we will have to work on. According to 1850 census, John A (Jackie) Wesley Sr was 31 years old, and the would make his birthdate 1819?However, I show his birthdate as 1816, born in PA.He m. Mary Ann Tohill Nov.11, 1839 and died Nov. 11, 1899 at Flat Rock, in Crawford Co., ILL. I have nothing on his father or mother, not even their names.Ida Lurena Wesley I have b July 28, 1883 and d. Sep 13, 1930 but had no spouse for her.
Polly Wesley, b. 1848; nothing on George; Sally b 1840 but I also show a Sarah b 1840? Amanda b 1858 m. Frank Hull. Phillip is a zero; Lewis is a zero, Annie is a zero. A notation on the bottom of my group sheet says six children died in infancy and they are the six mentioned in this letter:Phillip, Sarah, Annie, Lewis, Polly, George.
John A. Jackie Wesley, Sr. moved to Ohio at age 12 and at age 20 he moved to Southern Illinois.
Oh, yes.Back to Sally. She was 9 yrs old in 1850 census so her birth could be different from Sarah's, or vice versa.
My lineage is through Lawrence G. Wesley and Julia Ann McColpin.I have a lo of empty places on the John A. Wesley, Jr. family and also on Elijah Wesley.
Making a Wesley contact has thrilled me because it has seemed to go nowhere for so long.Made connections on several other lines, but none on Wesley; at least the Wesley branch I need. Thanks for answering my reply. If you wish further contact, you may do so at firstname.lastname@example.org.
