I hope that I'm not stepping on toes but "William Wessell" the one your talking about in your post did not come over from Germany on board the "Speedwell" in 1751, there is no records of any Wessell's coming over at that time.
It was Paul Nikolas Wessell and his family Rebecca, ch. Anna Catherine, Johann Cassen(casson, classen,) Frederick, Margaretha, & Anna, who came over on the "Speedwell of 1752" landed in Halifax and then moved on down to Lunenburg sometime bet. the Fall of 1752 and 1753.
William wessell was the son of Frederick Wessell and his name was also know as John William Wessell who married Catherine Barbara Berringer and they had 11 children.
If you would like to compare notes I would be more then happy to. The Wessell's were a hard family to do as so little was known about them in the earlier times.
