WETMORE, JANE KNAEBEL 75, of Pinehurst, died Saturday, June 12, 2004, at her residence and has gone to be with her God. She died peacefully, confidant, as she always was, in the Lord's abiding love. She was a devoted wife and Christian partner, a loving mother--and a friend to all. She made an impact on all that she touched. A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, June 16 at 2:00pm at the Village Chapel in Pinehurst, with the Chaplain Glenn I. Miller, Chaplin Larry Ellis and Dr. William Smith officiating. Mrs. Wetmore was born August 15, 1928 to Irvin and Lela Schoefield Knaebel in Cincinnati, OH and grew up in Ft. Thomas, KY. She attended Sullins College, before graduating from Indiana Unviersity in 1949. She was legal secretary to Robert Taft, Jr. prior to her marriage in August 21, 1954 to William Hall Wetmore. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, William Hall Wetmore; a son Benjamin Thomas Wetmore and his wife, Natalie, of Mt. Lebanon, PA; a daughter, Catherine Anne Ponzio and her husband, Jean-Claude, of Holly Springs, N.C.; three grandchildren, Christopher Brinton Hirsch, Daniel Louis Wetmore and Joshua WIlliam Wetmore; a sister-in-law, Mary Catherine Knaebel of Ft. Thomas, Kentucky; three nieces and nephews, Karen Scott of Dalton, Mass., Kent Knaebel of Columbus, Ohio; and David Knaebel of Ft. Thomas, Kentucky.
