The following is a summary of information received from Harry W. Bratton, Lee's Summit MO (email@example.com):
Hans Heinrich/Henry Wettstein arrived in New York on June 1, 1867 at the age of 20. After stays in Quincy IL and Canton MO he finally settled in Trenton MO in August 1874. He was in the wholesale and retail liquor/beer business. Aside his business he was very active in political and social matters in Trenton, where he became not only very popular but also highly respected. His political career culminated in the post of Mayor of Trenton from 1901 to 1905. He was also elected as a director at two local banks. He died on October 1, 1924, at his residence in 1407 Chestnut Street, Trenton MO.
In August 1874 Henry married Fredericke Roh of Wurtemberg/Germany descent. They had one daughter and two sons before Fredericke died in December 1885. Fredericke's sister Pauline became his second wife on December 10, 1887. They had one son and three daughters. Pauline died in 1935.
