Stephen:I will go through notes and give you what little I can add to your research, perhaps more later.First, the Oscar Wheat married to Almeda, his middle name was Luther.Next, Elbridge Gerry Wheat married to Jane Irons (born Scotland) did have 13 children. The only information I have on Mamie (perhaps Mary) Jane Wheat is birthdate, Dec. 29, 1870.Next, Elbridge had 4 brothers (all survived Civil War but Elbridge did not serve due to age and family) and listed are their name:Solomon Dunning, Jedediah D., Luther G., James Stratton and I think I found a sister, Eliza.I have traced the lineage back to Moses Wheat, born about 1616 Southwark, London, England, emmigrated to New World about 1635, settled Concord, Mass.Wheat Genealogy Vol.1 by Silas Carmi Wheat is on-line but you have to know about Vol 2, in order to follow our line. Briefly, Moses, Joshua, Samuel, Salmon, Solomon, Edrick H (Homer)and his sons: Elbridge, Solomon, Jedediah, Luther, James and Eliza. We are related. You can reach me at e-mail, [email protected]
