In preparation for a trip to the UK I've reopened my British lines. One that has bothered me for years is Wheatley. Two problems with this line: 1) The whole Fiennes thing is so unsupported that it nearly defies belief. 2) I cannot find Tingsboro, even with variant spellings, in Somerset.
The Wheatley book has great details on wills etc. Are they real? Has anyone ever looked at the purported documents since the book was written, over 100 years ago?
Please excuse the tone, but can anyone lead me to proof of the above, and the location of Tingsboro?
