This has all been confusing for me too. I don't have any proof that the way I now look at my maternal tree is really correct. Selah, or Celia, Falconbury must have had my mtDNA haplotype which belongs to the U5 haplogroup; U5 clearly originated in Western Europe. What confused me was, and still do, the old entries on Ancestry.com that Jacob Falconbury's wife was a Mary Routsaw (there in Kentucky), said to be part "Indian". For a while I thought she was my maternal ancestress, until I looked into more closely. Maybe old Jacob was a bigamist? Well, what I'm getting at is Jacob Jr. may be Mary's son. Jacob's first wife Charity did not have a son named Jacob (Jr).
