I have not investigated the following post diligently. However, the name Felix appears among the children and grandchildren of Jacob Robinson. It also appears to support the claim stated in one source (Ramsey or ....?) that Jacob claimed to be descended from Christopher Robinson (Hewick) through his son, "Honorable" John Robinson, one time speaker of the House of Burgesses in VA.Name similarities in succeeding generations seem to lend support to this contention.
However, if I remember correctly, the chronolgy seems to indicate a missing generation. John Robinson, who married second, Lucy Smith.... and possibly Catherine Beverly first, is said to have been born in 1707, making him 64 when Jacob was born.Curiously, a will of Catherine Robertson (Sullivan Co., TN dated c1792) states..... "Jacob Robinson, my only son...".Perhaps a divorce?Illegitimate birth?Big puzzle!
The following taken from a post by Helen Nichols Battleson (Hewick).
"Virginia Magazine > of Historical Biography, Vol. 17, page 431 > "Speaker John's son John married Lucy Smith in Queen and King Co., VA > and they had three sons, viz: Jacob, Felix, and John Thomas. All three > of these sons married in Virginia. Jacob moved to Washington Co. > Tennessee. Felix moved to North Carolina." >
