I am looking to see if anyone can give me a connection between William Wheeler and his wife, Nancy Agnes.
William Wheeler was living among the Whelchels in Pendleton Co. in 1790 and in Union Co. from 1800 til 1825. He also moved with them to Hall Co., Ga. where he died in 1832. He also served with the brothers under Col. Brandon.
William was involved in their deeds from 1791 or earlier through 1825.
Abigail Davis Whelchel witnessed Nancy Agnes leave her fathers house to marry William Wheeler in 1785 by Samuel Johnson J.P., according the the Pension papers of Nancy Agnes Wheeler in 1844 in Ga.
Also Francis and Mary Whelchel testified to her history in 1844 in Hall Co., Ga.
Nancy Agnes named he two daughters Nancy and Judith, both names used by the Whelchel family. Nancy Jr. even names her two daughters Nancy and Judith.
Also Francis Whelchel registered the births of William and Nancy'c children for them in the Wheeler bible according to the Pension papers.
My question is, could Nancy Agnes born 1767-1772 in S.C. (?) be the daughter of Francis Whelchel Sr.? There must be some connection for these two families to be so involved together over a sixty year time span.
